For the attitude of fuel additives, riders are basically divided into two factions. Supporters believe that the quality of oil products in China is not good, and it is definitely useful to add fuel additives regularly, which can effectively remove carbon deposits in engine cylinders. The opposition firmly believes that fuel additives are useless at all, and adding them is a waste of money.
In this case, we might as well do a real car experiment directly to verify whether fuel treasure is useful.
Fuel treasure classification
There are many fuel additives on the market, but they can basically be divided into three categories: maintenance type, cleaning type and power upgrading type.
We tested the mustard green car detoxification liquid in 400 ml, which belongs to the cleaning fuel treasure. According to the official statement, this product is a high-end version of PEA formula, which can effectively remove carbon deposits in the fuel system and use one bottle every 5,000 kilometers.
Experimental vehicle
I'm going to use this Volkswagen Tiguan this time. The car is simple and atmospheric. The engine is a direct injection type, so this time we just need to check the carbon deposit in the engine and the carbon deposit in the spark plug. As for the air intake, even if fuel treasure is added, it can't be cleaned.
The mileage of this car is100000 kilometers, and the mileage is ok. I just don't know how much carbon is deposited in the engine cylinder. I'm looking forward to it, even a little impatient.

Carbon deposition in combustion chamber
The amount of carbon deposited in the combustion chamber is ok, not as much as I expected, with more edges and less in the middle.
First of all, look at the carbon deposit in a cylinder: there is a lot of carbon deposit on the edge, and there is a thick layer, which has covered the color of the original cylinder metal, and the colors presented are all the color of carbon deposit.
Let's take a look at the carbon deposition in the second cylinder. The carbon deposition is much more than that in the first cylinder. There is not only a thick layer of carbon deposition on the edge, but also a layer of carbon deposition in the middle part, but the carbon deposition is not much, because you can also see the partial luster of the metal at the bottom of the cylinder.
Next is the carbon deposit in the third cylinder, and the carbon deposit in the third cylinder is also more on the edge and less in the middle.
The carbon deposit in the fourth cylinder is similar to that in the third cylinder, and the metallic luster can be seen in the middle, and the carbon deposit on the edge has completely covered the metallic color of the original cylinder.

Engine vibration condition
In the case of idling, the air conditioner and various entertainment systems are turned off, and the maximum amplitude of the engine in P gear is measured to be 0.131mm.
Add fuel treasure to refuel.
After measuring these data, I immediately rushed to the gas station and added a 400 ml bottle of mustard green car detoxification liquid to the fuel tank before refueling.
After adding fuel treasure, 50L gasoline was added.

The contrast is still very obvious. It can be seen that the carbon deposits at the bottom of the four cylinders have been washed away. It has completely exposed the luster of metal, and even reflected white light. There are still some carbon deposits on the edge, but most of them have been washed away, and there are some wet carbon deposits, which should be washed away if you run again. The effect is still very good.
Spark plug carbon deposit
Although the situation of spark plug after use is not as obvious as that of combustion chamber, the effect can still be seen, and the amount of carbon deposited on the top is indeed reduced.
Engine vibration condition
Finally, let's look at the maximum amplitude of the engine, or turn off the air conditioning and entertainment system, when the engine is idling.
The data after use is still considerable. After using fuel treasure, the maximum amplitude of the engine is 0. 1 18mm.
Experimental conclusion
This is the whole process of my experiment. Although the experiment is simple, it does confirm that fuel treasure can indeed remove carbon deposits from the engine combustion chamber and spark plug, and reduce engine knock. However, in terms of reducing knocking, we will not feel particularly obvious during driving.
