Bamboo fish, commonly known as Spinibarbus, belongs to CYPRINIDAE. It is mainly distributed in the Vietnam River and the Shuikou River and Lijiang River which are connected with the mountains and rivers of Vietnam in Longzhou County, Guangxi. Often inhabit fast-flowing rivers or mountain canyons.
It is an omnivorous herbivorous fish with green body color and gray-black back. It likes duckweed, vegetables, young leaves and artificial compound feed. Bamboo tube fish has the characteristics of miscellaneous eating habits, strong disease resistance and high breeding efficiency, and its meat is fat and tender, which is a good raw material for making sashimi and braised fish.
