Frogs are amphibians without tails, such as frogs (black-spotted frogs) and toads (commonly known as toads), which are classified as belonging to the phylum Chordata, the subphylum Vertebrata, and the class Amphibia. Frogs commonly found in farmland include the black-spotted frog, zephyr frog, golden-line frog, flower-backed toad, and so on. Most of them live in tropical and temperate rainy areas, and very few species are distributed in the frigid zone. There are about 130 species of frogs in China.
I. Frogs
1, distributed in almost all parts of the world except Australia, the driest deserts and many overseas. However, the vast majority of species of frogs are concentrated in the warm, humid tropics.
2. Frogs have smooth, moist skin, prominent eyes, and exposed eardrums behind the eyes. Adult frogs do not have tails, and they have long, stocky hind legs that enable them to jump great distances. Many species of frogs have webbed feet and are natural swimmers.
3. Frogs are capable of hunting pests in the field, and are nationally protected animals that are beneficial to human beings. A frog can prey on 1,250 insects a month and eliminate more than 10,000 pests a year.
4. Frogs are a southern species whose domestication technology is not yet mature enough for them to be eaten.
Two, bullfrog
1, a kind of frog, native to the western Rocky Mountains in North America, is the second largest edible frog in the frogs after the African forest frog.
2, the female frog body length of up to 20 centimeters, male frogs 18 centimeters, the head is broad and flat. The head is broad and flat. The mouth is terminal, and the muzzle is rounded and blunt. The eyes are protruding, divided into upper and lower parts, and there is a crepeable transient membrane on the lower eyelid, which can close the eyes. Dorsum slightly rough, with fine skin ribs. The limbs are stout, the forelimbs short and without webbing. Individual males have a conspicuous gray verrucous protuberance on the inner side of the first toe. The hind limbs are larger and webbed between the toes. Skin color varies with the living environment, usually greenish brown on the back and limbs with dark brown markings on the back; bright green on the head and mouth margins; white on the ventral surface; the color under the throat varies with the male and female, with females more often white, gray, or dark gray, and males golden yellow.
3, because of its loud sound like a bull, so the name bullfrog. It also has the same ability to prey on insects, but because of its individual fat, tasty meat, it has been artificially bred as a delicacy and introduced into our country. Bullfrogs have a long lifespan, generally 16-20 years.
Three, the most obvious difference between bullfrogs and frogs is the mouth, the two kinds of frogs are very well distinguished.
There is a kind of tiger frog in frogs, which is distributed in most parts of Asia and China, with large individuals, body length can be more than 12cm, weight can be up to 250g or so, and the appearance of body color is similar to that of the bullfrogs, but there is a clear difference in their morphological characteristics.
(1) The bullfrogs are particularly large, the adult frogs can reach about 1500g, and their body length can be more than double that of the tiger frogs.
(2) The skin on the back of the bullfrog is relatively flat, without skin folds; the tiger frog has rough skin on the back, dark markings on the body, and obvious transverse lines on the limbs, which is the main difference between the two.
