On Jan. 5, 2014, a 200-kilogram wild "king pontoon" was caught by five or six fishermen in a trawl net at midnight and sold for RM11,000 to the Chinese owner of a restaurant. The king pontoon was transported to the Seven Streets Road bazaar in the morning of the 6th, attracting a lot of comments from the public. The fishmonger used two employees to remove the scales, which took a lot of time and effort.

The fish was purchased for RM11,000 by Chow Kin Yee, 41, the owner of the restaurant. Zhou Jianyi said that this is the biggest fish he has ever purchased, and before that he had purchased about 160 kilograms of pontoons for his customers to enjoy.
