Delete the selected object
I have made many works on my MacBook, and there is no "Delete" button on this device. So I was lucky to find that if I want to Delete an object, I can delete it not only by pressing the "Delete" key, but also by pressing the "X" key. Then Blender will ask you if you want to delete the object before continuing.
Object operation
When manipulating objects in Blender, we often need to quickly switch between two tools to make efficient use of time. First we need to grab an object, which can be done by pressing the "G" key. After grabbing the object, we can use the "R" key to enter the rotation mode. Press the "R" key again to enter the free rotation mode. Another shortcut key is "S", which can switch to zoom mode. After these operations are completed, we can press the "X", "Y" and "Z" keys to lock the operations in a specific axis.
Switch views
When we are modeling, we often need to switch different types of views. You need a numeric keyboard here. Personally, I think the number keys should correspond to the front, back, left and right views respectively in the order of 1, 2, 3 and 4, but the developer has also introduced the Ctrl key, which is the shortcut key of six main views:
1 front view
Ctrl+ 1 rear view
3 left view
Ctrl+3 right view
7 top view
Ctrl+7 bottom view
Shortcut keys for cameras
If you are using perspective operation, you can press Ctrl+Alt+0 to set the camera to the selected viewport. This can quickly create a camera. We can adjust the camera effect by moving and fine-tuning the camera later, but creating the camera in the viewport is the first step. We can switch the camera view at any time by pressing the "0" key.
Switch between different view modes.
When modeling, you will find it very practical to switch between different view modes. The two main options are wireframe and stereo mode. Switching these two modes will help us to see the shape of the model more clearly. Use the "z" key to switch these two modes. You can also use "Shift+Z" to switch to the rendered view.
Object creation menu
Adding new objects to the scene is the basic operation part of all projects. To open the object creation menu in the view, just hover the mouse inside the view and press the "Shift+A" key. The menu that appears allows the user to specify the type of object to be created. Skillfully operating this shortcut key can save us a lot of time in the process of creating objects.
Show search menu
The next shortcut key is the space bar, which can access all the tools in Blender. Press the space bar and directly enter the name of the tool you want to use, and then you can see the list of options. After seeing the tool you want, you can click this option with the left mouse button, or use the up and down keys to select the corresponding option, and then press Enter to select it.
Copying and specularly reflecting objects
I will also use some routine operations, so you need to know that you can use the "Shift+D" key to copy the selected object, and you can use the "Ctrl+M" key to mirror the selected object. After entering any mode (copy or mirror symmetry), we can press the "X", "Y" or "Z" key to determine the axis of copy or mirror symmetry.
Repeat the previous operation.
If you need to do a lot of repetitive operations, you need to know that the "Shift+R" key can repeat the last operation. I was really happy when I found this shortcut key, because I had to repeat this kind of operation manually before. After you start using this shortcut key, you will find that many different applications will use this shortcut key for this operation.
Shortcut keys to remedy after an error occurs.
We all make mistakes. You should already know this shortcut key, because it is the same in almost all applications, but it should be noted that the shortcut key for undo operation is Ctrl+Z, and the shortcut key for redo is CTRL+SHIFT+Z..
Use these shortcut keys now.
I hope these ten shortcuts will help you and start to apply them to your own workflow. Practice is the key. Use these shortcuts in your project now and force yourself to get used to using them. Always remind yourself to use shortcut keys. If you forget, make up your mind to use them next time. Many times, we just need to put shortcut keys into our muscle memory, so that using these shortcut keys becomes natural and smooth. In addition, there are a lot of shortcut keys for us to use, but I believe these ten shortcut keys are enough for the initial operation.
