Vulvar pruritus and bean curd residue-like leucorrhea usually suggest that the patient is fungal vaginitis, also known as vulvovaginal candidiasis. Leucorrhea of mycotic vaginitis is white like bean curd residue. If it is infected with mixed bacteria, it may be yellow, yellow-green, with a large amount of leucorrhea, which may contaminate vulva mucosa, vulva epithelial mucosa and skin. If the leucorrhea on the mucosa is wiped off, small ulcer spots or vulva manifestations such as mucosal redness may be found on the mucosa.
Another manifestation of fungal vaginitis is itching, and both vagina and vulva may itch. If secretion is checked, hyphae and spores may be found in leucorrhea, which indicates that it is a specific manifestation of mold. If the patient has leucorrhea like bean curd residue, accompanied by itching, excessive secretion and other abnormalities, it is usually considered as fungal vaginitis.
