Steps to make caramel popcorn
1. Put butter in a pan and heat it until it is completely melted, then put in the corn kernels, and spread them all over the bottom of the pan.
2. Micro mix the butter with the corn for a bit, then cover and heat over medium-low heat until you hear crackling.
3. Continue to heat, the crackling will gradually get stronger to weaker, and when the sound starts to thin out, you can turn off the heat and let the residual heat from the pan pop the rest of the corn well.
4. Next, to make the caramel syrup, heat all the ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat, and the sugar mixture will start to bubble up, then slowly darken to a toffee color.
5. Place the popcorn in a non-stick container and drizzle with the cooked sugar mixture, while turning the popcorn quickly to coat them evenly with the syrup, and the caramelized popcorn is ready.
