Reflux esophagitis is a digestive system disease, which is mainly caused by the dysfunction of sphincter at the lower end of esophagus or the abnormal structure of gastroesophageal junction, and the contents of gastroduodenal reflux into esophagus, causing esophageal mucosal injury.
The clinical manifestations are acid regurgitation, belching, burning or pain behind the sternum, dysphagia and other symptoms. Some patients will have throat discomfort, chronic cough, choking cough, asthma and other symptoms when lying down at night.
