There are different treatments for different causes of facial paralysis.
Medication
Only patients with Bell's palsy, which is a common viral infection, and Hunter's syndrome, which is a herpesvirus infection with facial paralysis, are appropriate for medication. We usually use hormones, and then improve the facial nerve circulation of drugs, as well as neurotrophic drugs timely treatment, if it is herpes virus caused by facial neuritis, we have to early on the use of antiviral drugs, but also to use hormones and nutritive drugs, as well as to improve the facial nerve circulation of the drug treatment in order to achieve a better result.
Surgical treatment
After three months of conservative treatment, the nerve paralysis has not recovered, the measurement of the facial nerve conduction velocity and facial electromyography are not responsive that is, there is no potentiated activity, surgical treatment can be used.
