Failure to repair insulin can only be a substitute and cannot be treated. The medical profession generally believes that the relative or absolute deficiency of insulin secretion is the basic pathogenesis of this disease, and insulin injection can only supplement the deficiency and cannot restore pancreatic function. Although insulin supplementation is a safe and effective solution for diabetic patients at present, long-term use may further deteriorate the pancreatic function of patients and have to increase the dosage of insulin, which will eventually lead to the complete loss of pancreatic function and complete maintenance by external insulin. Therefore, insulin is not the best choice for diabetic patients, especially for patients with type 2 diabetes.
