Gubertin (1863~1937)Gubertin was a Frenchman. In 1889, he proposed the revitalization of the Olympic Games. In 1894, after the establishment of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), he served as the Secretary General. After the first modern Olympic Games in Greece, he became the second President of the IOC and Honorary President from 1925 to 1937. He made a great contribution to the restoration and reconstruction of the modern Olympic Games and is honored as the Father of the Modern Olympics.
