1. Germination seedling stage: refers to the stage when the radicle of broad bean breaks through the seed coat and the main stem protrudes 2-3cm from the ground, and the time is about 1 1-30 days. 2. Seedling growth period: the main stem will grow upward, and branches will be formed continuously, and flower buds will differentiate and buds will begin to appear. 3. Germination and branching stage: early branches begin to sprout, and later branches form in large numbers. 4. Flowering and podding period: Flowering period refers to the period from flowering and podding to natural shedding of leaves, and about 7 days from flowering to the end of flowering is generally the flowering and podding period. 5. Seed maturity: The color of pods and seeds will gradually turn dark brown.
First, the growth process of broad beans
1, germination at seedling stage
(1) Germination seedling stage refers to the stage when the radicle of broad bean breaks through the seed coat and the main stem protrudes 2-3cm from the ground.
(2) The germination period of broad bean is about 1 1-30 days.
2. Seedling growth period
(1) At the seedling stage of broad bean, the main stem will grow upward, and branches will be formed continuously, and flower buds will differentiate and begin to appear.
(2) The growth period of broad bean seedlings is generally more than 90 days.
3. Bud branching stage
(1) At this stage, the roots, stems and leaves of broad bean grow vigorously. Branches began to sprout in the early stage and formed a large number of branches in the later stage.
(2) The budding time is generally 35-40 days.
4. Flowering and pod setting period
(1) generally belongs to the flowering period from flowering to pod setting until the leaves naturally fall off. From flowering to about 7 days after flowering, it is generally a period of flowering and pod setting.
(2) The flowering and pod setting period is generally 60-65 days.
5. Seed maturity
At this stage, the color of pods and seeds will gradually turn dark brown.
Second, the performance of broad bean diseases
1, broad beans are infected with different diseases, and the symptoms are generally different, which generally needs to be determined according to the type of disease.
2. If Vicia faba is infected with erythema, reddish-brown spots will generally appear on the pods, and germs can usually penetrate the pods and invade the seeds, resulting in little red dot on the seed coat, and a large number of leaves will fall off, and the diseased plants and the plots will usually look like they have been burned.
3. If Vicia faba is infected with root rot, the taproot and fibrous root of Vicia faba will change from red to brown-black, and fibrous root will die slowly. Usually, when plants get sick, they will produce a new generation of conidia at the diseased site, which will spread through rain, irrigation water, farm tools and so on, and then repeatedly infect them.
4. If broad beans are infected with damping-off disease, it will cause seeds to rot or buds to wither, resulting in seedlings that cannot be unearthed or have black tops. If control is needed, 500 times solution of 58% metalaxyl manganese zinc wettable powder can be used for control at the initial stage of the disease.
5. If broad beans are infected with rust, yellow and white spots will appear on the leaves, and then they will turn into nearly round protruding scar-like spots with reddish brown color and yellow halo around them. When the lesion expands, the epidermis will break and release red powder.
6. If the broad bean is infected with Fusarium wilt, the color of the stem base will turn dark brown, and the stem and leaf at the top will wither, and then wither, showing obvious symptoms of withering. If control is needed, 25% propiconazole EC 2000 times solution can be used for control.
