3. If Vicia faba is infected with root rot, the taproot and fibrous root of Vicia faba will change from red to brown-black, and fibrous root will die slowly. Usually, when plants get sick, they will produce a new generation of conidia at the diseased site, which will spread through rain, irrigation water, farm tools and so on, and then repeatedly infect them.

4. If broad beans are infected with damping-off disease, it will cause seeds to rot or buds to wither, resulting in seedlings that cannot be unearthed or have black tops. If control is needed, 500 times solution of 58% metalaxyl manganese zinc wettable powder can be used for control at the initial stage of the disease.

5. If broad beans are infected with rust, yellow and white spots will appear on the leaves, and then they will turn into nearly round protruding scar-like spots with reddish brown color and yellow halo around them. When the lesion expands, the epidermis will break and release red powder.

6. If the broad bean is infected with Fusarium wilt, the color of the stem base will turn dark brown, and the stem and leaf at the top will wither, and then wither, showing obvious symptoms of withering. If control is needed, 25% propiconazole EC 2000 times solution can be used for control.
