How to Drink Foreign Spirits:
Mixing Whiskey Cocktails
If you don't like the taste of whiskey at all, or if you're looking for a new way to enjoy whiskey, we implore you to try a classic cocktail. Add orange juice, club soda, lemonade, red grenadine syrup, pineapple or even other sweet liquors or drinks to your whisky. The resulting hierarchy of flavors varies, and there's always a result you'll be most happy with.
Brandy with ice and water
Because brandy is a strong drink, some people like to add ice or mineral water to the drink to dilute its alcohol content, increase its taste and make it more palatable. Of course there are many other ways to mix the drink besides adding water and ice.
Rum and soda water
The soda water method is suitable for drinking light rum, and rum with an alcohol content of about 40 percent is the most suitable for this drinking method. By mixing rum with club soda in a 1:2 ratio and squeezing in a bit of fresh lemon juice, the rum will be soft and somewhat similar to an aged beer, with a soft and complex flavor.
Bailey's with Milk on Ice
