Ewha Womans University Application Requirements

Some of the application requirements for studying at Ewha Womans University (for reference) are as follows:

1. Nationality Requirements:

Applicants (females only) and their parents are foreign nationals; multiple nationals with Korean citizenship (including the applicant and parents) are not eligible to apply. Those who acquired foreign nationality after birth (including applicants and parents) are only eligible to apply if they acquired foreign nationality before entering high school (10th grade). (Applicable to undergraduate applicants only)

2. Language Requirements:

1) Applicants who have obtained level 3 or higher (undergraduate freshmen) or level 4 or higher (undergraduate undergraduate and graduate students) of the Korean Language Proficiency Examination (TOPIK) are required to submit their transcripts by the application deadline. Conditional applicants must submit their TOPIK transcripts by the specified date, and will be disqualified if they do not meet the university's admission standards.

② Completion of an intensive Korean language program at Ewha Womans University Language Education Center at level 4 or above. Only those who have submitted a certificate of completion of level 4 or above by the application deadline will be recognized. However, those who are enrolled in a level 4 course during the time of application to Ewha Womans University (proof of enrollment submitted at the time of application) will be certified as eligible to apply and may be granted conditional admission. Conditional applicants will be required to submit a Certificate of Completion of Level 4 upon completion of the Level 4 program, and will be disqualified from admission if they fail to complete the program.

3) English Language Proficiency Test TOEFL (PBT 550, iBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 600 (New TEPS 326) or above.

Selection method: Based on the documents submitted by the applicants, the selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of the applicants' academic ability, activities, and development potential. Interviews may be conducted when necessary (telephone interviews for foreign residents or interviews with local personnel).
