The Story of Pearls
Once upon a time, there was a devout Israelite who was faithful and honest, and every day he would take the yarn he had spun at home to the market, sell it, buy some cotton and food, and take it home to continue spinning. The whole family lived a hard life.

One day, the devotee took his yarn to the market as usual. In the market, he met a relative who saw him with a sad face. Seeing his sad face and sighing, he asked him:

"It has been a long time since I have seen you, how is your life?"

The relatives cried to him about the hardships of life and asked him for help. He was so compassionate that he gave them all the money he had just earned from selling yarn in the market.

He returned home empty-handed, and when his family saw that he had brought neither cotton nor food, they asked him strangely:

"Why have you come back empty-handed today?"

He said, "I met a poor relative in the city and gave him all the money I earned today."

The family didn't complain, but they went through the closet and found a broken wooden pallet and an old urn for him to sell in the market. But I didn't realize that no one wanted to buy these pieces of junk. Just when he was at his wits' end, a fish seller walked up to him, carrying a stinking fish that was beginning to rot. As fate would have it, the fishmonger said:

"Why don't we exchange the goods that we can't sell."

The devotee agreed. He brought home a stinking fish that he had exchanged for a broken wooden pallet and an old urn. When the family saw that the fish was too rotten and stinking to eat, they could only shake their heads and sigh.

But he said: "The fish is not fresh, but it's better than no fish at all. I'll cut it open, rinse it out, char it and eat it again, so maybe it won't smell bad."

With that, he used a knife to break open the belly of the stinking fish, and found a crystal clear pearl in the belly of the fish. He took out the pearl, in the light of a look, see the pearl has not been drilled holes, they concluded that this is not someone else's property.

The next day, he took the pearl to the market, and showed it to a jeweler he knew. The jeweler took a good look at it and said:

"This is an ordinary pearl, and I will pay you a thousand dollars for it. If you don't want to sell it, ask someone else to look at it, maybe there is a businessman with more money who is willing to pay a lot of money for it."

He thanked the jeweler and went to a large jewelry store to get an estimate. The merchant took a look at the pearl, and was pleasantly surprised, saying:

"This pearl is worth 70,000 dollars, I give you the highest price."

The believers agreed, on the spot to cash, looking for a footman to carry money home.

The believer agreed and cashed in the money on the spot and went home with a porter. When he reached his doorstep, a beggar came to him and begged for money, saying:

"Do me a favor, please reward me with some money, seeing how poor I am."

The devotee said, "Yesterday I was in the same situation as you, I had nothing to eat and little to wear. I was in the same situation as you yesterday. Now I am rich, richer than you. I'll give you half of what I get."

After saying this, the believer divided the money he got from selling the pearls into two and gave 35,000 dollars to the beggar. The beggar did not reach out for the money, but smiled and said to him:

"May God bless you. Bless you. I don't want this money, you keep it, the whole family live a good life. I am not a beggar, but I have come by God's command to test your heart."
