Red-dot snake is a non-toxic snake, also known as Hongshan snake or red poisonous snake. It is a common snake in Asia, mainly distributed in China, Japanese and Korean Peninsula. The red-dot snake is reddish brown or orange red with black or dark brown spots or patterns, hence its name. Red-spotted snakes mainly feed on small reptiles such as rodents and birds, and have certain predation ability. In a suitable habitat, the red-dot snake is an active diurnal snake.
