1, table arrangement of Chinese banquet
The principle of determining the order of table height is: after the main table is scheduled, the level of other tables depends on the distance from the main table, with the nearest one being high and the farthest one being low; Parallelists have the right table as high and the left table as low.
When arranging tables in a formal banquet hall, there are mainly the following rules:
Right-up: when the tables are juxtaposed horizontally, the table on the right side is higher than the table on the left side, which is subject to facing the main entrance of the banquet hall.
Distance first: when the tables are arranged vertically, the distance from the main entrance of the banquet hall shall prevail. The farther away from it, the higher the number of tables.
Center is the top: that is, when the tables are surrounded together, the table in the center should be the main table.
Facing the platform is the top: that is, if there is a dedicated podium in the banquet hall, the dining table with the back of the podium should be the main table. If there is no dedicated podium in the banquet hall, sometimes the dining table with the main frame back can be used as the main table.
The common arrangement method is shown in the figure: the serial number in the circle in the figure is the high and low serial number of the table.
2. What is the ranking of Chinese banquets?
At the banquet, the specific ranking on each table also has the distinction of primary and secondary ranking. There are four basic methods of ranking, and they often work at the same time.
Method one, the host sits on the main desk opposite the main entrance.
The so-called "face-to-face" means that on each dining table, the seat facing the main entrance of the banquet hall is the main seat, and the host should usually be invited to sit here. If there is no main entrance to the banquet hall, the seat facing the center of the main screen is usually the main seat.
Method 2: When having a multi-table banquet, each table should have a representative of the host present. The position is generally in the same direction as the main table owner, and sometimes it can face the main table owner.
The so-called "all tables are in the same direction" means that when a large banquet is held, the main and accompanying positions of other tables should be kept in the same direction as the main table.
Method three, the ranking of each table depends on the distance from the owner of the table, with the near as the top and the far as the bottom.
Method 4: Each table is at the same rank as the owner of the table, and pay attention to the right.
The so-called "high on the right and low on the left" means that on each dining table, except for the main seat, the ranking of other seats should be based on facing the main entrance of the banquet hall, and the ranking on the right is higher than that on the left. As far as a seat on one side is concerned, the closer it is to the theme, the higher the ranking. Under normal circumstances, the guest of honor can be placed in the host's right hand, and the guest of honor's wife can be placed in his left hand. The host's wife is often seated on the right side of the guest of honor.
In addition, the number of people arranged at each table should be limited to 10, preferably even. For example, six people, eight people and ten people. If there are too many people, it is not easy to take care of them, but it may also be impossible to sit down.
According to the arrangement method of the above four rankings, the specific arrangement of the round table rankings can be divided into two specific situations. They are all related to theme.
The first case: the arrangement method of one theme per table. It is characterized in that each table has only one host, the host and guest sit on the right hand, and each table has only one conversation center.
The second case: the arrangement of two themes at each table. It is characterized in that the host and wife sit at the same table, with the male host as the first host and the female host as the second host, and the guest of honor and the lady of the guest of honor sit on the right side of the male and female hosts respectively. Each table thus objectively forms two conversation centers, as shown in the figure.
If the status of the guest of honor is higher than that of the host, to show respect, you can also arrange to sit in the host's seat and ask the host to sit in the host's seat.
