Sweet and delicious shredded taro
Planting method of taro
1, suitable environmental conditions: taro belongs to Araceae, likes warm and humid climate, is not drought-tolerant, is shade-tolerant, and needs sufficient water in the growth process; The suitable temperature for growth is 25-30℃; The root of taro is fleshy fibrous root, which is underdeveloped and has weak ability to absorb nutrients. Therefore, the first choice for planting taro is sandy loam with deep soil layer and loose fertility.
Taro likes water very much.
2. Variety selection: taro can be divided into dried taro, water taro and water-dried taro according to different growth environments. At present, dried taro is widely planted, with many in Laiyang, Shandong, and white taro in Shanghai. Fujian nine-faced taro and Guangdong purple taro are widely planted in the south.
3. Planting time: When the ground temperature is stable above 10℃ in spring, it can be planted in the open field. Generally, it can be planted in the north at the end of April and in the south in mid-April.
Accelerated germination of taro
4. Accelerating germination: Before sowing taro, the seeds should be dried to accelerate germination, and taro seeds with full terminal buds, thick bulbs and complete shapes should be selected. When accelerating germination, put the seed taro in the environment of 20-25℃, cover it with some sand or straw curtain, sprinkle some water, and keep the humidity at 10- 15.

5. Sowing: Before sowing taro, prepare the soil first, because taro likes fertilizer. Therefore, base fertilizer must be applied again when preparing the soil, and 4-5 tons of high-quality ring fertilizer and potassium sulfate compound fertilizer 150 kg should be applied per mu. After that, we should deepen the soil and water it to make it moist. Before sowing, it's best to turn over the ground, rake and make a bed, or don't do it.
Taro should be deeply planted. There is a saying that "taro grows upward, sweet potato grows downward, taro is planted deeply, and taro is planted shallowly". When sowing taro, furrow sowing is generally adopted, with furrow spacing of 70-80cm, furrow depth of 20cm and plant spacing of 25-30cm. Taro especially likes potash fertilizer, so it is best to apply a small amount of cake fertilizer when sowing.
Taro has three or four leaves and then enters the vigorous growth period.
6. Post-emergence management: the soles of the feet have been watered when sowing, and taro does not need to be watered before emergence, as long as the soil is wet, otherwise it will rot easily, and the seedlings will emerge about 10 days after sowing. If you want to emerge more quickly and orderly, you can cover it with plastic film after sowing, but even uncover it after emergence.
Taro soon entered the tree growth period and bulb growth period after emergence. Topdressing 2-3 times in combination with soil tillage, with 70kg of diammonium phosphate and 70kg of ammonium bicarbonate per mu. In the meantime, taro also needs a lot of water. Keep the soil moist and water it when it is dry, but don't flood it. The water requirement of taro decreases in the later growth stage, especially before harvest, and the soil should be kept slightly dry.
Taro has reached the late growth stage.
After the taro is fully mature, the leaves can be harvested before the first frost, and the taro planted in the open field in the north is generally harvested at 10. Planting a few taro trees at home in spring is really a beautiful year. If you are interested, try to plant one.
