Composition of Hongguoshu Scenic Spot in Suiyang
Hongguoshu Scenic Area is located in the northern suburb of Suiyang County, only 40 kilometers away from the center of Zunyi. On a few square kilometers of land, it is an ancient and magical karst museum, which integrates rivers, waterfalls, caves, natural bridges, ancient trees and ancient cultural sites. The main shaper of mangrove beauty is Peacock River. In the distant geological age, Peacock River was an underground river, which dissolved rocks and formed upper karst caves. Due to the internal force of the earth, the rock stratum is inclined at a large angle, and the underground river permeates and dissolves along the cracks of the rock stratum, forming a second or even a third cave, thus creating a complex and changeable underground world, as evidenced by the inclined cave wall and two skylights of the Lucky Star Cave. The upper karst cave collapsed due to aging, which turned the underground river into an overground river and the infiltration place into a waterfall. The remnants of the collapse formed natural bridge landscapes such as Wolong Palace, Longqiao and Elephant Trunk Mountain. Nine bamboo poles and narrow valleys, such as Peacock Peak, are also cut by running water. Due to the nourishment of water and the hiding of mountains, many rare residual plants have been preserved, and ancient ginkgo biloba and century-old yew can still be seen today. The complex terrain once provided a camp for the Taiping Army, so there is the ancient site of Yingpan of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in the scenic spot. There is a scene here, with dense trees, high oxygen ion content, warm in winter and cool in summer, steep cliffs, and delicious wine of wild fish and yew in the cave, which is an ideal place for sightseeing, health preservation, exploration, summer vacation and winter tour.
