Cold is a common exogenous disease in four seasons, especially in winter and spring. Many families have Chinese patent medicines for treating colds. Some people take a lot of medicine after catching a cold, but their symptoms are still not relieved. The key is that there is no dialectical medication.
How to distinguish wind-heat cold from wind-cold cold cold
Recently, I often hear friends say that I have a cold, and I am drinking Radix Isatidis, antiviral oral liquid, honeysuckle and herbal tea. I usually advise my friends that you have not correctly distinguished the wind-cold cold from the wind-heat cold.
Why do you say that? The weather in Guangdong has cooled recently. I caught a cold at this time, nine times out of ten. It's just that I caught a cold with a hair dryer. Usually it is easy to happen in the case of poor rest, weak body, insufficient clothing and excessive sweating.
Traditional Chinese medicine divides common colds into wind-cold colds and wind-heat colds. In fact, many friends can't tell what a cold is and what a cold is.
Cold colds are usually caused by fatigue and lack of rest, plus blowing or catching cold. Wind-cold colds usually occur in autumn and winter. Wind-cold and cold belong to the syndrome of the sun meridian, and the sun cannot be started when it is blocked. Its typical symptoms are:
* Strong pain in the back of the head, that is, pain in the back of the head, accompanied by stiff neck rotation.
* Afraid of cold and wind, it is generally comfortable to wear a lot of clothes or cover a big quilt.
* Snuff is clear, white or yellowish. If the nasal congestion does not cause runny nose, it is also a cold to drink some hot water and start to clear your nose.
* Tongue without coating or thin white coating
* If you can feel the pulse, you should be able to detect that it seems to float tightly. Floating pulse means that Yang is on the surface, and you can get it easily.
The key to treating wind-cold cold is to sweat a little (called warming the heart and relieving exterior syndrome in Chinese medicine). There are many ways, such as sauna, soaking feet in hot water (preferably with some wine), playing basketball (if you still have the strength), covering two quilts, drinking ginger juice, drinking ginger porridge, eating a spicy hot pot and so on. The main prescription of wind-cold cold is Guizhi decoction, the first prescription in Treatise on Febrile Diseases, also known as the king of concoction (Mahuang decoction is also used for wind-cold cold cold, but it is used with caution in the south). Next, I will copy the prescription of Guizhi decoction, and interested friends can write it down for a rainy day.
Wind-heat cold, usually caused by constipation, often belongs to Yangming meridian syndrome. Usually, this is the case. Constipation for two days, sore throat for one or two days, and then cold symptoms. This is a wind-heat cold (it can also be exogenous heat evil, attacking the lungs first). Why constipation can cause a cold? Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the lung is opposite to the large intestine and the defecation is not smooth. If the large intestine affects the lungs, cold symptoms will appear. On the other hand, if the wind-cold cold is not treated in time or improperly, it will also cause constipation or diarrhea. In fact, diarrhea after cold and cold is a disease of traditional Chinese medicine, which belongs to the disease from the outside to the inside. Don't use laxatives casually.
Symptoms of wind-heat cold:
* Sore throat, usually before cold symptoms, and sputum is usually yellow or black.
* thick nose, usually yellow
* The tongue coating is yellow or white, and the tongue body is usually red.
* Constipation
* Body fever, thirst, upset
* Pulse condition is usually several or one flooding pulse, that is, faster than normal pulse, but larger.
To understand the cause of wind-heat cold, the treatment is very simple, and in most cases it is catharsis (with drugs for clearing away heat and relieving exterior symptoms, it usually takes effect quickly). There are many ways, drink some herbal tea; Eat some antipyretic drugs, such as Radix Isatidis. Chinese patent medicines include Sanhuang tablets, Yinqiao Jiedu tablets+Niuhuang Jiedu tablets and Radix Isatidis. You can also eat honeysuckle oral liquid to treat wind-heat colds and the like. The representative prescription of Yangming meridian syndrome is Baihu decoction, but I don't advocate using it casually. It belongs to one of the powerful drugs, so I won't copy it here.
Finally, clarify some concepts that friends may confuse.
* Viral cold does not mean wind-heat cold. Viruses are the manifestations of western medicine, while Chinese medicine pays more attention to the human body. Therefore, it is incorrect for some doctors to treat viral colds with wind-heat colds.
* Sore throat is not the key to distinguish wind-heat cold from wind-cold cold, which often causes sore throat.
Similarly, cough, runny nose and high fever cannot be used as the difference between the two colds.
* Don't treat with western medicine and Chinese medicine at the same time. These are two different processing systems. If antibiotics are prescribed, there is no need to drink ginger syrup. Why? Let's think about it. One is to find ways to cool the body, and the other is to find ways to make the body sweat, almost in the opposite direction. Can the body stand it? This will not only reduce the effect of traditional Chinese medicine, but also reduce the effect of western medicine.
