Five levels of cleanroom class

Cleanroom levels are usually categorized into five classes: Class 100 cleanroom, Class 1,000 cleanroom, Class 10,000 cleanroom, Class 100,000 and Class 300,000.

1. The best cleanroom

Controls the number of dust particles in the air with a particle size of less than 0.5 microns to no more than 100 per cubic foot. Mainly used in microelectronics, optics, medical devices and other areas that require high aerosol control.

2.1,000CleanRoom:

Controls the number of dust particles in the air with a particle size of less than 0.5 microns to not more than 1,000 per cubic foot. It is suitable for some industries with high cleanliness requirements, such as microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and food processing.

3. Class10,000CleanRoom:

Controls the number of dust particles in the air with a particle size of less than 0.5 microns to no more than 10,000 per cubic foot. Higher cleanliness is required in certain manufacturing and laboratory environments, such as semiconductor manufacturing and biopharmaceuticals.

4. Class100,000CleanRoom:

Controls the number of dust particles in the air with a particle size of less than 0.5 microns to no more than 100,000 per cubic foot. It is mainly used in some industries with general cleanliness requirements, such as precision machining and cosmetics production.

5.300,000Class300,000CleanRoom:

Controls the number of dust particles in the air with a particle size of less than 0.5 microns not exceeding 300,000 per cubic foot. It is suitable for some places with lower cleanliness requirements, such as general electronic assembly and plastic products processing.

Summary: clean room level is divided into 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 and 300,000, with the increase of the level, the more stringent requirements for the control of airborne dust particles. Clean rooms are widely used in microelectronics, medical devices, biopharmaceuticals and other fields, providing a clean, dust-free working environment for manufacturing.
