October 1st is the National Day of the People's Republic of China, International Music Day, International Day for the Elderly, Singapore Children's Day and Cold Clothes Festival.

1. The National Day of the People's Republic of China is also called "Eleventh", "National Day", "National Day", "China National Day" and "National Day Golden Week". The Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China has announced that since 1949, October 1st, the day when the People's Republic of China was proclaimed, is the National Day.

2. In October 1979, the 18th General Assembly of the International Music Council held in Melbourne, Australia, passed the decision to designate October 1st as the International Music Day (IMD for short) and established the International Music Day organization. Its purpose is to make music the basic content of human life and unite people of all countries through music.

3. On December 14th, 199, the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 45/16, and designated October 1st as the International Day of Older Persons. Since 1991, October 1st has been designated as the International Day for the Elderly.

4. Singapore Children's Day. Article 1 of Singapore's holiday regulations stipulates that the first Friday in October is not only a holiday for children, but also a holiday for all adults (it is not mandatory to give holidays to adults). The reason is that if only children are given a holiday, adults will go out to work and no one will play with them. Poor children can only watch TV at home on Children's Day.

5. Hanyi Festival, also known as "October Dynasty", "Ancestor Festival", "Ghost Festival", "Autumn Festival" and "October 1st", is a traditional festival of sacrifice in China. The first day of October in the lunar calendar is the first day after the cold winter. In ancient times, there were customs such as giving clothes, offering sacrifices and turning on the stove to remind people that the cold winter is coming. On this day, women will take out cotton-padded clothes and give them to their relatives who are guarding the border and serving the corvee in the distance. While sending cold clothes to their relatives, they will gradually develop into cold clothes for their ancestors and the dead.
