How to create photos with special effects of reflection in water using PS techniques

Water wave reflection is a bit more complicated than other reflection production methods. There are roughly three major steps: first expand the canvas, flip the subject vertically, and then use gradients to create transparent transitions. Then create a new document and use filters to create water-like material. You can also directly use the water-like material and then use a replacement filter to create a water-like effect. Just adjust the details and colors at the end. Final effect

1. Select a photo, go to Image > Canvas Size, and expand it downwards.

Second, copy a layer of the photo to create a "reflection" layer. Flip it vertically and place it below the photo layer.

3. Now add a new layer below the reflective layer and name it "Water". Fill its lower half with blue. Link the "Water" and "Reflection" layers and add a layer mask to the "Reflection" layer. Use a linear gradient on the mask, stretching from the horizontal line from bottom to top.

4. Now execute the reflection layer separately: Filter > Blur > Dynamic Blur, set the angle to 90 degrees and the distance to 10 pixels. Now we complete the reflection in the water. Next, create ripples on the water surface

5. Create a new 1000 x 2000px RGB document. Go to: Filter > Noise > Add Noise and set the maximum amount.

6. Next, go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur and set the radius to 2 pixels.

7. Now switch to the channel option in the layers panel. Select the red channel and go to: Filter > Stylize > Emboss Effect, set Angle 180, Height 1 and Max Amount.

8. Repeat the green channel and set the angle to 90. Now unlock the background layer.

9. Next we have to stretch the background layer to adjust the perspective. Execute: Edit>Transform>Perspective to make the following effect.

10. Execute Image > Image Size, adjust the image size.

11. After processing, save the psd format file for maximum compatibility. This is the ripple layer.

12. Return to the original processing file, select the reflection layer, and use its selection. Go to Filter > Distort > Displace, and set the Horizontal Expand to 30 and the Vertical Expand to 60. Also select Stretch to Fit and Repeat Edge Pixels. After confirmation, a selection box will pop up, select the ripple file we just made.

13. After confirmation, the effect should be similar to the picture below. You may need to go back and make careful adjustments based on your situation.

14. In order to create reality, we first need to adjust the pressure, water and land. Add a new blank layer and create a narrow selection along the horizon area. Go to Edit>Fill and select black.

15. Uncheck it and apply a Gaussian Blur with a black band of 20 pixels.

16. Change the layer blending mode to Soft Light and adjust its opacity to 80%.

17. Add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and lower the saturation to -30.

18. Add a black and white adjustment layer and select the green channel preset. Set the adjustment layer's blending mode to Overlay and its opacity to 30%.

Nineteen, finally add a gradient adjustment layer, use a radial gradient from transparent to black, and scale it to 150%. Set the adjustment layer's Blend Mode to Soft Light and its Opacity to 30%.
