When infected with mold, it is also affected by its light duration. A longer period of cloudy and rainy, or indoor lighting, daylight and other light sources are insufficient, these factors can promote the breeding of mold. Fish infected with mold are usually covered with a layer of cataracts, especially in black and red fish, thus losing the luster of the fish body. Subsequently, the activity is sluggish, often stagnant, floating on the surface of the water, if not treated in a timely manner, the fish mold spread, the affected muscle rot, loss of appetite, and ultimately lead to death.
[Treatment] Botrytis can occur throughout the year, with early spring and late winter being the most common. In order to prevent the occurrence of water mold disease, attention should be paid to the operation as much as possible to prevent damage to the fish body and parasite bites, and can be put into a small amount of salt in the water to inhibit the occurrence of water mold disease. When the fish are found to be infected with water mold disease, 3% salt water can be used to soak and wash the fish once a day for 5 to 10 minutes to inhibit the breeding of mold. Raise the water temperature to 32 degrees to inhibit the growth of water mold. It is best to install a 15-watt UV lamp at the top of the aquarium and irradiate it for several hours daily to effectively inhibit or eliminate the breeding of water mold.
Scale loss is one of the common diseases of carp and koi, and some of them will have skin ulcers at the same time or a little later. If your home with recycling ecological fish tank, it is recommended that you do not just pour medicine into the tank, although it can quickly solve the problem, but the medicine will be absorbed by all the fish, and over time the fish may get sick and become a big head and thin body. So, we suggest you dilute the water with potassium permanganate powder or solution, put the potassium permanganate solution diluted to light pink color in a clean basin or bucket, and then put the sick fish into it (if you are afraid of other fish being infected, you can also put other fish into it once). Fish out the sick fish after ten minutes and put them back into the tank. This way once a day for 2-3 days should make a difference. If the disease is severe you can use it for a few more days.
If the scales of the fish have fallen off, cut a piece of aloe vera 5-6 centimeters long and about 3 centimeters wide (with skin and flesh) and put it into the fish tank. Replace it with fresh aloe vera after two or three days. This method can cure ornamental fish's scale loss disease.
