Taro lotus
In recent years, more and more flower friends buy lotus root and arrowroot, and flower friends also have a strong demand for cultivation methods of lotus root and arrowroot. Lotus root, also known as arrowroot, is a perennial herb of Phyllanthus of Araliaceae.

Lotus root arrowroot can be planted in the open air in South China, but can only be potted in North China. Many flower friends found it easy to wither after buying it, mainly because of environmental protection.

You know, the biggest feature of arrowroot plants is that they like high humidity environment, and most of our indoor humidity is dry, especially in the northern region. Simply put, if we throw our lotus taro into the greenhouse, it will grow well, but it will look faded at home.

So what should we pay attention to when planting lotus root and arrowroot?

Lotus, bamboo and taro have higher requirements on air humidity, which needs to reach 70-80%. Especially in the peak season of growth in spring and summer, besides watering in time to keep the soil moist, we should also regularly spray water on the leaves and the ground to improve the air humidity. The optimum growth temperature is between 18-25℃, and it is not conducive to its growth if it exceeds 35℃ or falls below 15℃.

In addition, attention should be paid to shading. Lotus root and taro are suitable for curing under strong light and astigmatism, but not for exposure in the hot sun, especially in high-rise balconies.

Compared with fertilization, nitrogen fertilizer is the main fertilizer, but it is not suitable for fertilization at the initial stage. On the contrary, when lotus root and arrowroot have adapted to the environment and grown normally, more thin fertilizer should be applied during the growth period.
