Tongxiang mustard tuber has a unique flavor of fresh, fragrant, tender and crisp, and its products sell well all over the country, and are exported to Hong Kong and Macao, Southeast Asia and Western European countries. The origin of mustard tuber is in Sichuan. Since Gu Jinshan and others from Gujiaqiao, Nanri, Tongxiang, introduced it from Sichuan in 193 1, Tongxiang began to have mustard tuber. Over the past 60 years, Tongxiang mustard tuber production has developed rapidly. At present, it is planted most in Nanri, Shiqiao, Gao Qiao, Tudian and Baitao. There are dozens of mustard tuber processing plants in the city, with an annual output of finished mustard tuber/kloc-0.00 million tons, ranking second only to Fuling, Sichuan.
