Food science and technology was founded in 1975 and sponsored by Beijing Institute of Grain Science. The journal was included in the main contents of Chinese core journals in Peking University, selected into American Chemical Abstracts and British Food Science Abstracts, and included in the full text of well-known databases such as China HowNet.
