Basic Page Setup

Understanding basic page setup, including size, center, margins, line spacing, and paragraph spacing, is the foundation of typographic design. The layout can be divided into 3 or 2 columns, with different column widths and inter-column widths.

Adjusting the layout

Based on the existing template, we can easily adjust the paragraph spacing, line spacing, column width and column spacing. Select the text box that needs to be adjusted, click "Text - Paragraph Formatting", and set the settings in the right menu.

Inserting text and images

Adding a text box is as simple as clicking on the icon in the toolbar and dragging the mouse to the desired size. Double-click the text box, right-click and select "Edit Text" to enter text. To connect text boxes, click on the white square below the previous text box. Images can be copied and pasted directly, and you can choose to edit across the text.

Font Settings

The body of the text uses 8.5pt font, the author and professional use 8pt font, page numbers also use 8pt font. Headings should be focused and the font size should be consistent.

Common shortcuts
