The movie "bodyguards and assassins" tells the story of 1906, when a group of revolutionary volunteers from all directions fought bloody battles against evil forces to protect Sun Yat-sen.
The story happened in Central Hong Kong, and the revolutionary was assassinated. When the Qing court learned that Sun Yat-sen was about to arrive in Hong Kong, it sent general Yan Xiaoguo to assassinate Sun Yat-sen. In order to facilitate the task, Yan Xiaoguo bought gambler Shen Chongyang as a spy.
In order to protect Sun Yat-sen, Chen Shaobai, president of China Daily, invited the troupe leader to take action, which led to the massacre. Later, Chen Shaobai and Yan Xiaoguo met, and the teachers and students broke up. Li Yutang joined the revolution after experiencing changes and joined the ranks of protecting Sun Yat-sen with Wang Fuming, Liu Yubai and others. Finally, Sun Yat-sen left Hong Kong safely, leaving only Chen Shaobai and Li Yutang to protect his grandson.
