The growth process of soybeans
Once I started an experiment on the "growth process of soybeans".
I first prepared a transparent plastic cup, soil, paper towels and soybean seeds. Then I laid paper towels around the cup and put more than half of the soil in the cup. Then, I placed a few seeds between the cup and the paper towel. Finally, I crushed the remaining small portion of the mud into a cup (the seeds were about a centimeter deep from the surface) and poured some water so that the paper towels were completely soaked. The seeds are now planted.
A few days passed. I came to the windowsill and observed the seeds. I noticed that there was some change in the color of the seeds. Originally, the color of the seeds was bright yellow, but over the past few days, the appearance of the seeds has become a little lighter, and they feel a little transparent. The seeds appear particularly plump, and the seed coat is also a little cracked.
Two more days passed. I came to the window sill again to observe the seeds. I looked into the cup. Surprisingly, the seeds sprouted. The outer shell of the seed cracked. Young shoots emerged from the inside. The color of the young shoots is light yellow, slightly green. The top of the bud is pointed and looks tender. This is the bud head. The bud heads are growing downward. A question came to my mind: Why do the buds of seeds grow downward? Wouldn’t it be possible to drill out of the ground? I was thinking as I watered it.
The growth process of soybeans [2]
Some time ago, the teacher assigned the task of planting bean sprouts and writing an observation diary.
When I got home, I found a glass, brought three bean sprouts, and filled the glass with half a glass of water. Then, I carefully put three soybean sprouts into the glass. In this way, you are ready.
At first, there was no change or movement in the soybean sprouts. The next day, it only grew a little bud, and it still clung to its mother's body, just like a newborn child hugging its mother tightly. On the third day, it slowly left its mother's body. On the fourth day, it stood up and grew a little taller. On the fifth day, it grew a little taller and curled up, like a small green snake looking up to the sky. On the sixth day, it had peeled off its skin, and its skin was transparent, as if it had taken off its clothes to cool off on a hot day. After the soybean sprouts peeled off, the mother body of the bean sprouts split into two parts. In addition, it has grown to the surface of the water, so I went to add water to the glass. On the seventh day, some white and thin roots grew from the ends of the soybean sprouts. There were about twenty of them. They were like the beards of the soybean sprouts. Those are the fibrous roots of soybean sprouts. On the eighth day, the bean sprouts finally grew up. After a period of cultivation by me, the bean sprouts were about nine centimeters long, and they were finally old enough to eat. They finally grew up.
