After cutting, the water content is very small, the acidity and sweetness are more fruity, and there are many small seeds to eat. The fruit of cactus is rich in trace elements, protein, amino acids, vitamins, polysaccharides and pectin.
Its main thorn is reddish brown to dark brown, which is degraded by its leaves. The top of cactus is its growing point, through which it grows and branches. The cactus fruit is oval, with a concave top and a slightly narrow base, 4-6 cm long and 2.5-4 cm in diameter. The surface is smooth and hairless, purplish red. Cactus berries are sweet and sour.
Palm reproduction:
Due to the long flowering and fruiting period and low reproduction coefficient, cactus often uses palm slices for asexual reproduction. Palm slices are easy to survive whether they are old or young, but it takes a period of self-growth and development to grow young palms after planting, so try to choose palm slices with a length of more than 25 cm, a width of more than 12 cm and a width of more than 1 cm. After the palm is cut, the incision is directly dipped in 40% carbendazim wettable powder, dried in the sun for 1-2 days and then planted in loose substrate.
Generally, the insertion depth of the palm piece is two-fifths of the height of the palm piece, and the long axis of the palm piece should be in the north-south direction (or 15-30 degrees). When planting, if the soil is wet, there is no need to water it. If it is dry, you can water it properly, but there should be no water when planting. The daily average temperature of 200C can take root at 7- 10, and then turn to normal management.
