In order to make cactus blossom, it must be treated with water shortage. Some varieties need cold stimulation to induce flowering. The flowering age is mostly 3~5 years, and some varieties need 5~20 years or even longer. The following aspects should be paid attention to in daily maintenance:

1, lighting: cactus requires plenty of sunshine, and it is often kept indoors for a long time. Without sunshine, it will not bloom. The cactus needs warmer environmental conditions. If the environmental temperature does not reach above 20 degrees, it will not bloom.

2, watering: Do not water more, hurry to make the basin soil too wet, but should be dry rather than wet. Especially in winter and summer dormancy period, watering should be controlled.

3. Fertilization: The fertilizer can be fully decomposed thin liquid fertilizer and applied once every 10- 15 days. Pay attention to the control of fertilizer and water after autumn, generally once a month, and stop fertilizer until1early October. Pay attention not to touch the ball when fertilizing, and spray it with water if it touches the ball.

4. The optimum growth temperature of cactus is 20-30℃, and it should not be lower than 5℃ in winter. In addition, we should pay attention not to let the temperature difference between day and night be too large in winter, otherwise it is likely to cause freezing damage.
