Steps for making mochi

This is the first step in the process of making mochi.
Glutinous rice flour and corn starch (ratio of 2.5:1), place in a container.

Add appropriate amount of water and stir into the batter. Adjust the amount of water according to your favorite taste, mine is thinner.

Steam the batter in a pot over high heat for 10 minutes, then change to medium-low heat and steam for another 10 minutes. Stir after steaming and cool.

During the cooling process, take another appropriate amount of glutinous rice flour and stir-fry it over low heat to produce a fragrant aroma and a light yellow color.

Sprinkle the fried part of the glutinous rice flour evenly onto the board, and put the cooled glutinous rice ball on it to prevent sticking.

Take a small piece of glutinous rice dough and press it into a cake shape, wrap it into the bean paste ball and roll it round, roll it in the cooked glutinous rice flour and serve.
