Rowan was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England on January 6th, 1955. His parents owned a 4-acre farm, which was considered a middle-class family.

Although his family background is not bad, Luo Wen suffered from stuttering since he was a child. Coupled with his funny appearance of goldfish eyes and fan ears, he was bullied by his classmates and nicknamed "Moon Man". What's more, even his teacher refused to give him lessons, especially his recitation class. The teacher even hoped that he would change to another course. The history teacher once commented that he had "no sense of history, no sense of anything"-a vivid sense of "diaosi childhood". There is a good saying, "A judge by his appearance". With his own efforts, Rowan was admitted to Newcastle University, a famous old school in Britain, and studied electrical engineering. Later, he went to Queen's College, Oxford University for further study, and successfully obtained a master's degree in electrical engineering-Sensen's arrogance came to his face! During his college years, Rowan also joined some performance associations, such as Oxford Drama Association, Satire Drama Club and Experimental Theater Club, and made friends with Richard Curtis and Howard Goodall.

I stutter sometimes, depending on whether I am nervous or not. But stuttering is really a big problem for me. I found that when I was acting, stuttering disappeared. The problem of eating may be one of the inspirations that prompted me to become an actor. " Despite his stuttering, Rowan gradually developed his own performance style-interpreting comedy characters by rich facial expressions and exaggerated body language. It is this innovative performance style that makes Rowan stand out in Edinburgh Fringe Culture Festival, which is also a great opportunity for Rowan to enter the entertainment industry later.
