Potato is also known as "underground apple" and "second bread" in the world. It is a kind of vegetable suitable for all ages. It contains essential carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, etc. Regular consumption of potatoes can reduce blood fat, blood pressure and sugar. It is a good food, and its cooking methods are various, which can be fried, fried and mixed, so many people like to eat it.
There are several ways to store potatoes.
The first natural storage method
Put the bought potatoes in a cool, ventilated and dry place for a few days until the skins are dried. Never expose the potatoes to the sun, because potatoes like cold and fear heat, and too much humidity and poor ventilation can easily lead to mildew. It is best to put the skin into a ventilated net bag after drying, and hang it in a cool place, which can also effectively extend the shelf life.
The second method of soil or sand burial
Potatoes, yams, carrots and carrots are all stored in this way during the Chinese New Year, which seems to be very effective. The specific method is to find a clean box, first spread a layer of sand (preferably dry, because potatoes still need to breathe during storage, and water vapor will be generated), put potatoes with dried skins (as in the first method), put a layer of potatoes and a layer of sand, and so on. I think the corridor is a suitable place. In fact, as long as the temperature is not too low in winter and it is kept at about 0-5 degrees, it can be eaten in the corridor without sprouting.
This method is also suitable for the storage of radish and yam, but it should be noted that it is also my mother-in-law who said that sweet potatoes should never be put together with potatoes, otherwise they are more likely to rot and mildew.
The third refrigeration method
Dry the skin of the potato, pack it in a fresh-keeping bag, exhaust the air in the bag, tie the mouth of the bag tightly, and it is best to cover it with a fresh-keeping bag, so as to isolate the outside air (which can effectively inhibit the potato from rotting and sprouting), and then put it in the freezer, so that it can be stored for five or six days.
The fourth way to put apples.
This method is the simplest and most efficient way to inhibit potato germination. Put apples (no more than 10 kg) in the bag where potatoes are put (it is best to find a clean paper box, which is breathable and shady), because the ethylene emitted by apples can effectively inhibit potato germination and growth.
Tips
(1) Don't buy blue and sprouted potatoes.
(2) Peel the potatoes clean before eating them. It doesn't mean that potatoes can't be eaten when they sprout and turn blue. It just means that the blue places should be cut deeper and the places with bud eyes should be dug up to avoid causing solanine poisoning.
(3) The potatoes should be soaked in water after being shredded or sliced, and the time should not be too long, so as not to lose nutrients.
