How to raise osmanthus more vigorously (share the secret of raising osmanthus)
Osmanthus fragrans is one of the top ten traditional famous flowers in China. When it blooms, it smells fragrant and the seasons are evergreen. It is an excellent garden tree species. Many flower lovers also like to plant osmanthus at home, but its yellow leaves often wither. Today, Lan Yao will focus on the management points of potted osmanthus, hoping to help you.

Key points of potted osmanthus management

Osmanthus fragrans planting management is very simple and easy to plant, but when potted, you want Osmanthus fragrans to grow well and bloom. Blue demon suggests that you focus on the following points.

1, the soil in the basin is loose and fertile.

Osmanthus fragrans grows best in sandy loam, with deep, loose and fertile soil and good drainage. When potted osmanthus fragrans, it is suggested to mix 3 parts humus soil, 4 parts pastoral soil and 3 parts river sand with a little fermented organic fertilizer, or 2 parts general nutrient soil+1 part garden soil+a little fermented organic fertilizer for planting.

When serving, fermented organic fertilizer can be added to the bottom of the basin as the base fertilizer. It is suggested to bring the original soil to the basin, or knock off the periphery of the original soil to expose the root system and plant it. (It is not recommended to wash the roots) After planting, water it once. If you are afraid that you can't water it once, you can water it for 2-3 times continuously. After pouring thoroughly, put in bright astigmatism for 2-3 days, and then gradually increase the light.

Step 2 keep enough light

Osmanthus fragrans likes a sunny environment. When maintaining potted plants, avoid direct sunlight except when seedlings are just planted in pots. During the growing period, it is necessary to ensure no less than 4 hours of direct sunlight, preferably full sunshine. In summer, flowerpots can shade and cool down, and it doesn't matter if osmanthus trees don't shade. When potted osmanthus in indoor balcony, attention should be paid to opening the window for ventilation.

3. No watering, no watering

Many flower friends' potted osmanthus flowers can never be cultivated well. In fact, the big problem lies in watering. Don't water osmanthus, water it thoroughly. In the usual maintenance, it is found that the surface of the basin soil is grayish white, and the surface of the basin soil hardens when touched by hand, or dries 2cm below the surface, indicating that it needs watering. Water should be poured to the bottom of the basin at one time, and a lot of water will come out, not half.

In the northern region, because the soil and water are relatively alkaline, a small amount of ferrous sulfate or citric acid can be added every time watering to prevent alkalization of the basin soil, because after alkalization of the basin soil, osmanthus fragrans is easy to lack iron and yellow leaves, which will seriously wither.

Outdoor cultivation of osmanthus potted plants, continuous rainy days should pay attention to drainage, to prevent basin soil water.

Before flowering in autumn, the temperature began to drop, so watering should be reduced appropriately. It is more important to keep the soil and air moist before and after flowering of potted osmanthus. If the air is extreme, it is suggested to spray more water on the leaves to increase the relative humidity of the air, which is beneficial to the germination and flowering of osmanthus fragrans.

4. Apply fertilizer reasonably to avoid fertilizer damage.

Osmanthus fragrans germinated in early and middle March, and soon entered the vigorous growth period of new shoots. Therefore, it is suggested that appropriate fermented organic fertilizer and slow-release fertilizer should be applied after germination, and 1 ~ 2 times balanced compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be applied, or the new shoots can grow sturdily and enrich, laying a foundation for flower bud differentiation.

In the middle and late May, the leaves are old, the new shoots are capped, and they turn into the nutrient accumulation period. At this time, it is suggested that phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied first to promote flower bud differentiation. It is suggested that shallow buried fermented organic fertilizer+bone meal or calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer can provide nutrients for osmanthus fragrans continuously. In August, potassium dihydrogen phosphate fertilizer is added with water every time until it blooms.

Topdressing should be stopped at flowering stage of osmanthus fragrans. After flowering, compound fertilizer water with balanced nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium 1-2 times can be applied to promote the recovery of osmanthus fragrans plants. With the decrease of temperature, topdressing 1-2 times before winter to promote the root growth of osmanthus fragrans and lay the foundation for next year's flowering.

Matters needing attention in potted osmanthus management

1, avoid thick fat.

Many flower friends can't master the fertilization amount of potted osmanthus, which is prone to fertilizer damage. Fertilization of potted osmanthus fragrans should master the principle of thin fertilizer and diligent application. If you can't master the water-soluble fertilizer, you can use more fermented organic fertilizer. After fermentation, the organic fertilizer is mild, so it is not easy to fertilize, and water-soluble fertilizer is not needed. It can be used several times.

2. Avoid getting fat.

The fertilizer tolerance of potted osmanthus fragrans is not strong, and the raw fertilizer that is not fermented cannot be used. Even rice washing water should be avoided before fermentation, and once the fertilizer is damaged, it is difficult to preserve it.

3, avoid sitting fat.

When potted osmanthus plants are potted, the root system must not directly contact the base fertilizer, and the base fertilizer should be separated by soil, especially the bare-rooted osmanthus seedlings, so you should pay attention when potted. At ordinary times, topdressing should not be piled directly at the roots, but should be buried shallowly along the basin edge.

4. Avoid changing pots for a long time.

It is suggested to replace potted osmanthus every two years and cut off the old roots. 10 later or in March of each spring, it is more appropriate to change the pot. At this time, osmanthus grows slowly, and the effect of turning over the pot is small.
