1. Slice the old tofu and boil it in hot water to remove the slop flavor.
2. Remove and drain.
3. Chop the scallions and set aside.
4. Breadcrumbs aside.
5. Mash the tofu with chopsticks.
6. Add chopped green onion, salt and MSG and mix well.
7. Add the egg and stir to make the tofu a little sticky.
8. Pour breadcrumbs on a plate, squeeze the tofu into a circle and place it on the plate, shaking it back and forth to coat the meatballs with breadcrumbs.
9. Pour oil into a wok and add a little more. When the oil is hot, add the prepared balls and fry them.
10. Fry until golden brown.
