Line two disposable paper cups with paper towels and press three small holes in each with a toothpick.
Place three mung beans on each of the holes in the paper towel.
Dripping water on the paper towel in one paper cup is labeled cup #1, and no dripping in the other paper cup is labeled cup #2.
Place both cups on the windowsill.
Stick to a daily routine of observing changes in the seeds, rehydrating the experimental group in a timely manner, and recording your findings.
Experiment plan: ?
We asked the question: must mung bean seeds have water to germinate?
Our speculation: water is necessary for mung bean seeds to germinate. ?
The two groups had the same conditions: temperature, air, and three mung bean seeds of the same size each.
Conditions different for both groups: water.
The method of the experiment: a group of mung bean seeds that gets water and stays moist is called the experimental group; a group of mung bean seeds that doesn't get water and stays dry is called the control group. This experiment was conducted with at least two groups at the same time.
