Xue Panax notoginseng is not the Panax notoginseng that people often call it. They are two different plants, and their medicinal value cannot compare with Panax notoginseng.

Characteristics of Blood Panax notoginseng:

This medicine is the rhizome of the Polygonum amplexicaule var. sinense plant. It got this name because it can activate blood circulation, stimulate menstruation and treat bruises and injuries.

The roots and rhizomes of Panax notoginseng are used as medicine. It is a valuable Chinese medicinal material. When used raw, it can stop bleeding, remove blood stasis, reduce swelling and relieve pain. It is the main component of Yunnan Baiyao. The flowers and leaves of the same plant can also be used as medicine and as tea. It belongs to the same family as ginseng and belongs to the Araliaceae family.

Yunnan Panax notoginseng is mainly produced in Wenshan Prefecture. As for the price, I saw some as cheap as 120/kg in Wenshan last year. However, the price of this product fluctuates greatly, and even doubling it is normal.

I really don’t know where Xue Sanqi can be found in Yunnan.
