1 baguette

Tomato and garlic baguette: salt, 1 tomato, 1 slice of cheese, 3-5 cloves of garlic, olive oil, see left

Thousand Island Shrimp Baguette: Thousand Island Sauce: a little bit of Thousand Island Sauce, a good amount of shrimp, some peppercorns and salt, see left

Tomato baguettes:

1. Slice the baguette thickly. Mince the garlic, the more crushed the better. (If you have a blender, you can puree the garlic.) Add a good amount of olive oil and brush the top of the baguette.

2. Cut the cheese into small pieces and cover the baguette.

3. Peel and cut the tomatoes into small pieces, put them on top of the cheese slices and sprinkle with some salt. Put into the oven at 180 degrees for 7-8 minutes.

Thousand Island Shrimp Baguette:

1. Boil water with a good amount of peppercorns and salt to cook the shrimp.

2. Thickly slice the baguette and spread with Thousand Island dressing.

3. Place the shrimp on top of the Thousand Island Sauce and sprinkle some salt to enhance the flavor. Bake at 180 degrees for 5 minutes.

Baguette with jam:

1. Cut thick slices of baguette, spread a thick layer of jam and bake at 180 degrees for 5 minutes.
