2. Originally, I read some travel notes on Ctrip. com that you can take a bus from the railway station to Hunyuan, and then take a chartered bus from Hunyuan to Hangkong Temple. The four of us considered whether to go to Yingxian to see the wooden pagoda (just a wooden pagoda) or to Mount Hengshan (there is nothing to see in the current season), so we went straight out of the railway station and went straight ahead for a stop, which was a long-distance station (not far from the railway station, that is, walking for 1 minutes) The bus to Hunyuan doesn't leave until 8: 3, but it's only after 7: , and the ticket is for each person in 2 yuan, and four people go back and forth to 16 yuan, which is too expensive! So I stopped a taxi on the side of the road to ask about the price, and finally stopped a Fukang car and chartered a car from 15 yuan to go directly to the Hanging Temple, including round trip, tolls, parking fees, etc. (it's about 15 kilometers to the Hanging Temple).
// This is the first lucky thing we did today. The reason is that the travelling expenses are low, and the time-saving Datong coach has not left the station, so we have already arrived at the Hangkong Temple. It is said that such long-distance buses are very crowded, and most people will not drive until they are full, so it is wise for us to delay all the time on the road.
We arrived at the Hanging Temple at 3: 45 and 7: 45. When we first arrived, it felt as if the Hanging Temple was booked by four of us. There were no tourists, and even the ticket office had to open the door to sell tickets. All that remained was to see an old man cleaning up. In the past two days, the overall temperature in North China has dropped. When I got off the taxi, I was shivering all over, but when I saw the Hanging Temple, I was amazed over the cold. Hanging Temple is really as spectacular as recorded on the Internet. Before I saw it on the Internet, I felt that the ancients were smart and great in architecture. Now I am immersed in this wonderland, a miracle on earth, and I have a deeper understanding of the wisdom of the ancients. Because there are fewer tourists in the current season, I can include more beautiful scenery in my camera. When I left the Hanging Temple, I roughly calculated that I took nearly 2 photos (digital camera). The whole hanging temple took an hour and a half to turn, after all, the place was not very big.
At 4: 3 and 9: 3, we drove out from the Hanging Temple. The kind driver pulled us to the most prosperous downtown area of Datong. We walked west from Daxi Street, passed the municipal government guest house and found Ziyu Hotel. The conditions were not bad. Because we only stayed for one night, we only needed two ordinary rooms, 6 yuan/room (original price of 8 yuan, discount in off-season).
// This is the second unexpected thing. I really didn't expect the accommodation to be so cheap, and I also sent a buffet breakfast.
5. After a short rest in the hotel, I rearranged my luggage, and began to walk around the city. First, I tasted two bowls of Daoxiao Noodles in Datong, Shanxi Province in an inconspicuous shop, which was quite delicious. I went shopping and looked at Huayan Temple, Drum Tower and so on. Later, I felt that these places were not very attractive, so I began to turn to Datong cuisine. I wanted to eat it in the afternoon. Generally, big shops rest in the afternoon, so we also take a break. We found a rest place at the east end of Daxi Street → Gelaimei KTV, sang songs for two hours, and it was 6 o'clock in the evening, so we went to the "Oriental Noodles" on Dabei Street to eat authentic Daoxiao Noodles, which was the local people's favorite food. The taste was really good, much better than that small shop at noon. After eating, I didn't feel satisfied, so I walked north for about 2 minutes, and then I went to "Grandma Liu's Home Cooking", which I had seen in my travel notes before. I didn't feel anything when I heard others say it was good, but I really ate it before I got the real meaning. We had eaten our fill in the "Oriental Noodles" and just wanted to try Granny Liu's Datong staple food, but people's warm attitude was indescribable. The whole "Party A and Party B" dream of traveling for a while, and the price was surprisingly cheap (some vegetables were expensive), and they were also given here and there for free. The environment was very good, and it was estimated that restaurants with this service attitude in Beijing would have to charge service fees.
// This is the third unexpected thing, that is, eating at Granny Liu's place. I suggest that everyone must go there to eat when they have time to go to Datong. Our conclusion that night is that it is worthwhile to take a train from Beijing to Datong to eat at Granny Liu's place! Not much to say here, donkey friends will know if they try it.
6. After 8 o'clock in the evening, take a taxi back to Ziyu Hotel to rest.
Sunday, March 13th, 25
1. Get up at 7: a.m. and go to the dining room to have breakfast. It's also millet porridge. The steamed bread is different from Beijing's taste, quite fragrant, or it may be used to Beijing's food.
2. After eating, go back to your room, ask the waiter to make rounds and check out. Take all your luggage and leave for Yungang Grottoes at 8 o'clock. To get to Yungang, you can take bus No.4 and get off at Xinkaili, then turn to bus No.3 and go directly to Yungang. Because we took the train at noon, we wanted to give more time to the long-awaited Yungang Grottoes, so we took a taxi.
3. Take a taxi to Yungang Grottoes at the entrance of the hotel. Because the departure time between buses and Yungang in the off-season is relatively long, about half an hour, we FB to take a taxi to Yungang, 2 yuan, which is very cheap, about 16 kilometers from Daxi Street to Yungang. Once again, I suggest that travelers enjoy the benefits of taxis in Datong! Remember that Datong taxis can bargain, which is more affordable than taxiing. As I really told my friends, people who don't believe in Buddhism can be moved by the majestic momentum of Yungang. No matter from the momentum of the Buddha statue to the wonderful techniques, carving techniques and painting of the ancients, China's ancient art, architecture and civilization are all displayed.
4. Turn until 1 o'clock, and the estimated time is almost the same. The four of us came out of Yungang, took bus No.3 at the gate to the destination of 1.5/ person, then transferred to bus No.4 to the railway station for 1./ person, and took N214 directly back to Beijing. It was more than 6 o'clock in the evening when we arrived in Beijing.
