Legendary signing

The founding of Milk@Coffee is full of legends. KiKi (FuYan), the lead singer, met GeFei through QQ when she was in high school, and they exchanged most of their ideas about music. After entering college, KiKi, Ge Fei and two other students formed a band, and they were excited to participate in a famous university campus band competition, but they were eliminated in the preliminary round; after that failure, their band was forced to disband because the other two members graduated from school and left the capital one after another. But KiKi and Gefei didn't give up on their dream of making music, and they formed Milk@Coffee. Their music was created simply out of their love of life and their casual sense of humor, but unexpectedly they were spotted by Modern Sky Records and became the most sought-after newcomers.

Talking about the process of being discovered by his manager, KiKi has always found it incredible: "One day in the early summer of 2004, I went to Grievance's house, and a stranger, after looking at me carefully for five minutes, suddenly said, "Do you want to be an artist? I was so giddy, I couldn't believe that something that only happens in TV shows was actually happening to me," says the stranger, who is now our manager. She listened to our music through a friend and was planning to talk to Grievous about music that day and and but happened to meet me." KiKi describes the signing process as "a romantic mess": "We met the legendary Modern Sky boss Shen Lihui on a cruise ship in the North Sea and signed a contract with them."
