1 portion of green olives, 1/2 portion of olive oil, red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar 1/4 portion, 1/8 portion of minced garlic, 1 portion of black olives.
2. Method:
(1) Place 2 cups (236 ml) of green olives in a large bowl, jar with lid, or plastic storage bag. Be sure to drain the water from the olives first.
(2) Add 2 cups of drained (236ml) black olives.
(3) Sprinkle 1/2 cup (118ml) olive oil over the olives.
(4) Pour in 1/4 cup (59 ml) red or white wine vinegar.
(5) Mix in 2 tablespoons (30 ml) minced garlic. This step is optional, as olives with garlic have a different flavor.
(6) Add the appropriate amount of seasoning. Seasonings are made according to different flavors or tastes.
(7) 4 bay leaves, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) dried rosemary, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) cumin and 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried thyme.
