At that time, cattle and sheep were to be killed and ancestors were to be sacrificed. In some areas, landlords will also be sacrificed, and they will entertain each other, eat tuorou and wish a bumper harvest. Torch Festival is usually celebrated for three days. On the first day, the whole family got together, and then on the second day, there were colorful activities such as wrestling, horse racing, bullfighting, boat racing and tug-of-war, and then a grand bonfire party was held to party all night.

2. The year of the Yi people is called "Kus" in Yi language, "Kus" means year, "Si" means New Year, which means New Year. It is a traditional festival of sacrifice and celebration for Liangshan and Liangshan Yi people. "Kus" is usually chosen in 10 of the lunar calendar, when the crops are harvested.

3. Cross-dressing Festival, Cross-dressing Festival-Yi girl fashion show: There are two cross-dressing festivals in Yizhou, Chuxiong. One is the clothing festival in Zhiju Village, Yongren County, which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month every year.

4. Mizhi Festival, also called "Mizhi Festival", is a traditional folk festival of the Yi people. Mizhi Festival is popular in Yi nationality areas in southern Yunnan, especially one of the important sacrificial festivals of Sani people of Yi nationality in Shilin. It is usually held from the first rat day to horse day in November of the lunar calendar and lasts for seven days.

Supplementary festivals: Yi people living in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou have another festival on February 10th and 11th of the lunar calendar after the New Year, which is called "Malong Fire" in Yi language. Among the sacrificial activities, the Dragon Boat Festival is the biggest.

6. Dumb Festival is a unique festival of Yi people in Xiangyun, Yunnan, with a history of thousands of years. In September 2009, it was listed in the list of intangible cultural heritage protection in Yunnan Province.

7. Daughter's Day: Daughter's Day is the Valentine's Day of the Aru Yi people. Time is the first year of the ox after the Spring Festival every year, and it is a traditional festival of Yi people in Jinping County, Honghe Prefecture.

8. Flower Arrangement Festival is a traditional festival of the Yi people in Tanhuashan, Dayao County, Wei Chu. Every year, on the eighth day of the second lunar month, all Yi people in Tanhuashan District gather in bright red Ma Yinghua and put on festive costumes to commemorate a beautiful girl.
