The hen was very weak after her death. After all, huge mothers usually have liquid feces, so it takes a lot of spirit to give birth to such a roughly accumulated egg. At this time, once the cry attracted natural enemies such as weasels, she could only do nothing. Therefore, in the wild, the cleverest pheasant is silent. The merrier it crows, the sooner it dies. Therefore, after a long period of evolution, chickens in the wild will not make a "giggle" cry after they die in the rain, as long as our domestic chickens will make such a cry.

Possibility 3: Crying is for courtship.

As early as around 2000, the zoologists Pisari and Birckhead of the University of Sheffield in England conducted an experiment: they spent half a year observing a group of Javanese chickens-18 cocks and 14 hens raised by Stockholm University in Sweden, and observed them every 12 hours every day to see how many hens would sing after laying eggs.
The results showed that among the recorded 46 hens, 65,438+05% called after laying eggs, 85% called before laying eggs, and sometimes other hens even called several times, that is to say, even if chickens didn't lay eggs, they would normally call.
