Tyrannosaurus Rex
The Tyrannosaurus Rex belongs to the genus Tyrannosaurus of the super family Tyrannosauridae, and is the only species of the genus that was described and named by the American paleontologist Henry Osborn, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, in 1905. If we refer to the translation format of other dinosaur species names, its species name would be more appropriately translated as "Tyrannosaurus Rex". The adult Tyrannosaurus rex was about 12 meters long and weighed about 7 tons, making it one of the largest land predators ever to have lived on Earth.
