1. Breeding container. River shrimps can be raised in plastic pots or stainless steel pots. If possible, they can be raised in fish tanks and put an appropriate amount of aquatic plants and fine sand in them to simulate the original living environment of river shrimps as much as possible.
2. Breeding water. Try to use clean river water or pond water. If you want to use tap water, you need to place it in the sun to dry for about 1-2 days to drain out the chlorine in the tap water.
3. Feeding. Feed only when the food is almost eaten, and the amount of food fed each time should not be too much. Try to feed less and more frequently. Food options include rice grains, steamed bun crumbs, bread crumbs, etc.
4. Management. A small motor can be placed in the water to simulate the flow of river water. Replace new water every once in a while (at least once every 7 days) to ensure clean water quality. The breeding container should be placed in a ventilated and cool place and should not be placed in the sun. The water temperature should be controlled at around 25°C.
5. If you are raising wild river shrimp at home, you can generally add about two-thirds of the water to the fish tank.
6. If it is artificially cultured river shrimp, the water depth should be controlled at about 0.5-0.7m in the early days. In the mid-term, the water depth is controlled at around 0.7-1m. In the later stage, the water depth is controlled at about 1-1.2m.
