The reproductive organs of boars are composed of testis, epididymis, scrotum, vas deferens, accessory gonads, urogenital tract and penis. Among them, testis has the function of spermatogenesis and hormone secretion, and the hormones secreted mainly include androgen (mainly testosterone) and inhibin. Epididymis secretes epididymal fluid, which provides a good liquid microenvironment for sperm maturation and storage. In addition, the epididymal duct can absorb testicular fluid and transport sperm. Scrotum plays a role of temperature regulation to protect the normal production of sperm. The wall of vas deferens has well-developed smooth muscle, and sperm is expelled by its strong contraction when ejaculating. The accessory gonad has the functions of flushing urogenital tract, diluting, nourishing, activating sperm, transporting semen, forming vaginal suppository and preventing semen from flowing back. The urogenital tract is the same channel of urine and semen, which originated from the bladder and finally the glans penis. The penis is the mating organ of male animals.
