Earth honey does not mean "earth" honey, but "earth bee" honey. How to understand this sentence? This has to start with the bee species currently raised in China. At present, there are two kinds of artificial bees in China: Italian bees and Chinese bees. The honey (mature honey) brewed by Chinese bees from Shan Ye flowers can be called medium honey or earth honey, while the honey produced by Italian bees can not be called earth honey even if it is cultivated in rural areas, so the focus of earth honey is on "earth bees" rather than "earth".
Simply speaking, soil honey refers to honey brewed by soil bees. By definition, to be called soil honey, three conditions must be met. One is that soil honey must be brewed by soil bees (Chinese bees), the other is that the brewing material of soil honey must be nectar of Shan Ye Baihua, and the third is that soil honey must be completely matured and sealed by soil bees. As long as any of these three conditions is missing, it cannot be called soil honey.
Second, how much is a catty of earth honey?
The price of earth honey is generally in the range of100 ~ 300 yuan kilo, while the price of ordinary honey is basically around 40 ~ 60 yuan. In fact, there are two main reasons for the obvious price difference between them. One is that the nutrient content of earth honey is much richer than that of ordinary honey, and the other is that the output of earth honey is much scarcer than that of ordinary honey, so it is not surprising that the earth honey with richer nutrition and scarcer output is more expensive to sell.
Third, the purchase skills of local honey
1, the biggest feature of soil honey is that the yield is relatively scarce. In fact, a group of Chinese bees can't produce much soil honey in a year. This feature is reflected in the fact that the price of soil honey is often more expensive, so the price of real soil honey is rarely lower than that of 80 yuan, while the soil honey of 20 to 30 yuan or even more than 10 yuan can only be syrup. In addition, the sales of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of kilograms of soil honey must be fake.
2. The fake earth honey is even worse than other honey. When buying it, we must comprehensively identify it from the aspects of color, fragrance, taste and crystallization. Among them, the earth honey is mostly amber or deep amber in color, with a faint smell of Chinese herbal medicine in fragrance, sweet but not greasy in taste and slightly spicy in throat. In addition, the earth honey will crystallize at low temperature and will be light yellow or light amber lard after crystallization.
