On the eve of the opening of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022, the giant pandas Jingjing and Hayes from China officially met the public in Doha on 17 local time, and the Panda Pavilion in the Doha Pavilion where they lived also opened on the same day.

Jingjing is a naughty handsome boy at the age of 4, and Hayes is a lively beauty at the age of 3. They were all born in Shenshuping Base, Wolong, China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center. In the panda hall, a hall specially built for giant pandas, both pandas have their own living quarters, which are air-conditioned and constant temperature, cool and comfortable. Jingjing has been eating fresh bamboo, while Hayes prefers to climb trees.

The appearance and feeding habits of giant pandas

The newborn giant panda has pink skin and sparse white hair. 1 ~ 2 weeks later, the black hair began to deepen. Within a month, they slowly grow black ears, eyes, legs and shoulder straps and become more like their mother. When cubs are 6-8 weeks old, they can open their eyes and start teething. After three months, they can crawl slowly. When they grow up, they can live in the forest.

Giant pandas eat different kinds of bamboo in different parts. For example, they only eat bamboo leaves, bitter bamboo only eats bamboo poles, and spiny bamboo and Bashan bamboo like bamboo shoots and bamboo leaves best. In different seasons, giant pandas will choose different parts of bamboo to eat: mainly eat bamboo shoots in spring and summer, mainly bamboo leaves and bamboo stems, mainly eat bamboo leaves, bamboo shoots and bamboo stems in autumn, and almost only eat bamboo stems in winter.
